This page explains what cookies (and similar local-storage items) Katalog uses, and what you can do about them. We try to keep cookies to the minimum that actually makes the product work.
What we use
Essential cookies
These keep the product working. They can't be turned off.
- Authentication session— keeps you signed in after you log in. Without it you'd have to enter your password on every page.
- CSRF token — a small security value that stops a malicious site from making requests on your behalf.
Functional storage
Small values stored in your browser to remember your preferences.
- Language preference — so we can show you the right language on your next visit.
- Shop password gate— if a shop is password-protected, we remember that you entered the right password so you don't have to type it again during the session.
- Cookie-consent dismissal— remembers that you dismissed our cookie banner so it doesn't reappear.
Analytics
If and when we wire up an analytics provider (for example PostHog), we'll note it here and describe what it collects. Today, Katalog doesn't run an analytics provider on the marketing site or on public shops.
Third-party cookies
None today. If we add third-party tools that set cookies, this section will change and we'll update the "Last updated" date.
Opting out
You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings. Note: blocking essential cookies will break sign-in and other core features. Most browsers also let you clear local storage the same way.
